I know some have posted here the quality went down once sioux was acquired by snap on. did it go down enough where i shouldn't look at the newer sioux tools or should i focus on acquiring a tool that was made pre snapon? Im not even sure how to determine if a tool was pre snap on or not tbh.

yes what seber has is the style i have. i think i will make a lever and weld it to the metal plate that attaches to the wheel assembly and then make a knob to keep it similar. I could drill into the casting but i hate to do that and the aluminum is not thick in my opinion to support a threaded...

no that is the newer style. which i had that style as the side adjustment knob like that would solve a lot of broken ones as i have. I have two that are broken.

I am restoring a Burr King 760 and believe there was once a lever and now has gone missing/broken. I believe this was for side to side tracking control on the upper wheel. BK now uses a different method for how to do this. Can someone confirm my understanding of how this works as it would seem...

good suggestions on the screws. I had hoped to remove them so i could make a series of soft jaws but may look at other alternatives. I had thought about welding a nut to it but the screw is pretty small. may look at that again if i decide to remove to screws at some point.
