I tried insulating the bottom of the tank, but it didn't help much. A muffler helps a little, but not that much. So, I built an insulated cabinet.
NOTE: There is a vent area in the top of the cabinet to allow heat out.
Check out the link to my box I built...
Actually air compressors **** air in when they are running and there is automatic airflow caused by that. THe top has a 2" x 24" opening for airflow. It does get warm in there, but if you don't run it nonstop, it's fine. I could add a fan in there, but I don't think it needs it. All...
Hi Guys. I just made an air compressor box for my upright 30 Gallon Campbell Hausfeld. Here's what I did.
(Ignore the board stacked on top of it...that's just extra wood sitting on top)
I used 1/2" OSB board
24" x 24" overall outer dimensions
60" tall with a double roof inside (one roof...
Gotta love that story crashbumper! I hopped on their site the other day to see what they had, but they didn't seem to sell smaller quantities of GXL and TXL (like 25 or 50 feet). Only 100 footers...way too much for me when I needed 8 colors for the harness I was doing.
I finally found a...
Thanks guys for all the comments! I have a 60 Gallon Vertical single stage 6 HP Campbell Hausfeld (similar to Husky) - sounds like SplitSsss has the same one? I will do the rubber isolation mounts and a muffler on the intake. I am encouraged that you can get so much reduction without...
I'm looking for a good design for an enclosure for my air compressor in our shop. It is driving us nuts when it runs and I was going to build something of an enclosure to quiet it.
Any ideas/suggestions on this?
Has anyone done this before?
Here's what we were going to do.
1/2"...
Only Head Gasket fix I've seen work is the one that actually works is from Bar's Leak and it's the large Head Gasket Fix bottle that costs 35 bucks. It won't work if there is combustion gas leaking INTO the radiator (in other words if the cylinders are leaking gas into the radiator, then you...
I know this is an OLD post, but I wanted to say that heater is overkill, but only if it's not variable (all or nothing power, then yes a bit overkill, but better than underdogged and cold all the time!) :)
