snap on hard handle ratchets in midnight blue

I bought the 3/8 this morning for $115 from my dealer. Not that I needed yet another 3/8 flex, but if it's green or blue with a hard handle, I'll have one :)

Best tool you've ever found in the street

I've found a few tools lying on the road, but nothing great. I remember finding a Craftsman Professional 1/2" wrench, Craftsman straight screwdriver and a pair of el-cheapo small locking pliers on different occasions. One of my customers found a 1 1/2" Snap-On OEX48 wrench. He brought it in to...

    1/4 Drive Socket Set

I have some 1/4" drive SK sockets that I have had for quite a while. They have given me good service. I bought them in a pinch because I needed them, as I'm usually a Snap-On and Proto guy, but I like the SKs and still use them sometimes. Proto, Wright and Armstrong are also all good USA...

I'll take the two Proto wrenches and the cold chisel. PM on the way. Thanks.

    Opinions on ChannelLock Brand

My Channellock 440s were the first new pliers I ever bought. I still have them and use them. I buy mostly Snap-On, and have for the last ten years, but Channellock and Proto are the two non-SO brands I'll gladly buy. My local hardware store stocks all kinds of Channellocks. It's walking...

How Often Do You Break Tools?

On average, I break a tool or two in a month. I use my tools every day, so sometimes things wear out. Once in a while, it's blatantly my fault, but I try not to abuse stuff. Small picks (especially the hook) and bit sockets are my most common warranty items. I've also had a few hammers where the...

    Problems taking off your lugnuts?

The NE US is the rust capital of the world. If rubber and plastic ever figure out how to rust, it will happen here first. Liquid road salt is a killer corrosion agent.

    Problems taking off your lugnuts?

I guess that's one good thing about the fact that my 2011 Ram 2500 HD is pretty close to a "base" truck. Fake chrome wheels with plastic centers that snap over the plain, old open 15/16 nuts. No snazzy chrome caps to f**k up and disfigure. The fake chrome wheels really don't look all that bad...

    Proto Breaker Bar warranty

That's the address. I have a box of stuff I need to send in soon, too. Although I have several Snap-On Dual 80 1/2" ratchets, I miss my trusty Proto 5450.

    Torx 50+

GM brake caliper brackets use the T60 sometimes. They're weird bolts with a big spacer on them, and they can be ridiculously tight. I actually broke my T60 on one once, the bit survived but the socket part broke at the drive plug hole. Older Chevy Cavaliers use a T55 on the front hub...

    Problems taking off your lugnuts?

That is a good idea. I hate those lug nuts, too. I recently had a Charger and a Ram 1500 in which required replacement of all 20 nuts. They swell up and/or twist a bit, and nothing will fit them correctly. I end up using twist sockets on them if they're really bad.

Good seller here. I bought a few wrenches from him, which were shipped fast, well-packaged and reasonably priced.

    Proto Breaker Bar warranty

I have a lot of Proto tools, but the closest dealer to me is 60 miles away. I send my busted stuff right to Stanley-Proto's service center. You can find the address on the Proto website. You'll have to pay to ship it to them, but they'll send you a brand new breaker bar.
