I have the Atlas 7000lb mid-rise lift and the documentation with it calls for 20A service. However, I use it all the time pluged into a normal 15A circuit and it has never popped the breaker.

Thanks for the advice and suggestions. I drained the tank after start-up and it puked about a litre of rusty / oily water out, but has subsequently only spewed a few drops each time.
