Coolest idea ever!! I'm going to do that!

For the windows I used rolls of frosted Contact Paper. It is self adhesive and goes up pretty easy. Also lets light in but no one can see in works on basement windows also.

To be honest I don't remember and he sold the house about 5 years ago.

Not that crazy...I did that to a friend of mine's garage about 8 years or so ago. It worked great! It went up easy and much lighter than dry wall. He had 12 ft ceilings. It reflected the light great. We did not use any battens. We used nails and fender washers. He was not too interested...

My wife and family back me up. Some of my family is jealous. When asking directions to my house they all say you can't miss the house with room for seven cars inside. I think a nice garage would sell a house if the guy is a car guy or does woodworking.

Some people have waaaaay too much money...wish I were one of them sometimes.

Looks great and nice project you got there. I used DJM suspension components to lower my 1997 F-150 back in '98 and she's still going strong with 165K miles on it.

Sorry you had to go threw all of that but at least you'll still get your garage. You gotta pick your battles. Like you said it is not likely they will change their mind. Enjoy it knowing you did all you could do.

You work with what you got...right? Nice looking project you have there. Some of the best works of art are the ones I've see come out of a small one car garage.

Same here no running water or toilet in mine either. kvom: I had to check my setbacks as well. I had to be 10' from my property line and 8' from my house and the lot converges at the back. I measured and re-measured. When the county came out to measure. I ran a physical line from the front...

Just reading this haven't been on the boards in a while. Like many other's I'm with you on this one of course. :beer: I'm also in Maryland and dealt with the permits and inspection people. Mine was fine with one exception. The inspector was very concerned about safety in my garage, however...
