    roblouvasz, I didn't remove the check balls or the cylinder from the body. Other than that, it all came apart. Do you have the exploded view document for the jack? I have a copy; if you PM me your email i'll send it your way. Once you get it taken apart, check the main lift arm casting...

    I recently rebuilt a Model M and was able to get a rebulit kit from Hiball. It is a 2 ton unit and mine lifts to about 24.5". I have a few Hard Parts available as well.
