If anyone gets a chance, the new SO Carhartt Style coats are awesome, got a coat, 2 t-shirts, 2 hats, and a coat for the woman when I bought my new 3/8" lithium impact. :rocker:
My boss gave me this identical set when I started working for him 3 years ago, my boss also happens to be my future father in law, I now have a Matco 6s triple bay but still have the SO set at home they are awesome, I'm thinking about doing a restore on mine soon.
Used to love them, use SO now, the Matco design that"fits 6 different" fasteners isn't all that great, I find them getting stuck all of them time and having to tap them off with a hammer. Find myself using them more for serpentine belt tensioner tools...:dunno:
Can I ask who your friend is/was? As Green Springs is obviously a "One-horse" town....lol
Sorry to get off topic, I promise I'll stop after he answers my question..bad me.
Guess we are all from the same area here, I'm from Green Springs, about 25 miles South of Cedar Point. Just about half way between Cleveland and Toledo.
The "pre-instinct" handles you are referring to are actually called "Comfort Grip" if I'm not mistaken, my Torx "screwdrivers" are this handle style. I have the Instinct grips on my screwdrivers and picks. I love the added grip and ability to really torque on things without fear of the tool...
Any idea why my local Lowe's online store is still showing the Knipex 5 pc. set still in stock for 100$? Are they completely ousting Knipex and CL from Lowe's now?
Yeah there's a little cash in that drawer, those are from a current head gasket job I am finishing up tomorrow morning. 2 injectors stuck open and the customer kept driving, "only 15 miles he swears", you be the judge. Cylinder Numbers 3 and 5.
By the way our machine shop called us after...
