Help: Canadian brake cleaner replacement needed due to new regulations.

My backpack blower was a truly generic $144 Cdn to my door Amazon purchase and needs help starting- choke is useless and it's lean at "idle" . I can try the new brake clean. I've used C/Tire starting fluid, the acetone brake clean, and the old formula brake clean. All work equally IME. One...

Help: Canadian brake cleaner replacement needed due to new regulations.

https://www.amazon.ca/Aluminum-Pneumatic-Refillable-Pressure-Sprayer/dp/B00JKED4MS That's for us in Canada. You'll have to figure out the link for Amazon.com in the US. lol You probably should be low $40's - although that one was the best price I saw. I've never seen one in person. I think...

Help: Canadian brake cleaner replacement needed due to new regulations.

Chances are if you in Northern BC you are going to get it from Lordco anyway, but my experience was: 313r at Napa $13.48 313r at Partsource $11.99 313r at Lordco $5.99. Cashier said, not a direct quote but roughly that they have it on for 9.99 for about 4 months a year and for 5.99 for the...

    Between 485 & 705 SQ/FT Mid-Century Moto Mecca Makeover

Late comment, maybe a drive by one, about your daughter- but very from the heart. You got good advice already, notably from Grant G. Maybe throwing it through my own articulation and specific guesses/POV will help. In teens, a sense of inadequacy is a huge sore spot in their psyches. - as a...

Help: Canadian brake cleaner replacement needed due to new regulations.

Carquest operates only in Eastern Canada - Ontario, Quebec, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, & Newfoundland. So, none in the "prairie" (aka great plains) provinces of Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, or in British Columbia. SDS indicates k5090 is acetone based but does have "some" heptanes...

Help: Canadian brake cleaner replacement needed due to new regulations.

OK as an Albertan who was educated many years ago in the wiley ways of organic chems- and remembers a bit, I just ran into this. Hard. What a mess our government has made with the regulation...and indirectly, of my garage. I have to go out tomorrow and buy something that works, so I spent a...

    Permanent Under Eave House Lights

Safe to say you can adjust to white? That's the way I'd be interested. My neighbor is a professional commercial electrician and has a wife with a pretty good job and no kids. He just put up ones that look from a distance like a small white hockey puck. Fully programable (move infinite color)...

Garage Roof/Ceiling Framing Damage / Questions

Rather than lag bolts I'd probably do a through bolt (or grade 5 threaded rod, maybe 1/2"). I know... little about this whole situation or wood repair theory, but my take is the wood is... brittle. Lag screws create a (small) bursting force. Therefore a through bolt and clamping force is less...

    Need some design ideas

Very interesting design. Not seen 2 front corners devoted to one's automotive hobbies in a plan before. I like it, and like the near symmetry. Not feeling the best tonight so will stick to giving point form thoughts to maybe move conversation along. 1) unless you are into 356 Porsches or...

22 x 22 needs lighting, help me on fixtures.

Found a pic of the passthru wiring as it stands. Also my I think unique to me, shelve units that I can see from the bottom (!). Redirod up to a 2x3 in the attic.

22 x 22 needs lighting, help me on fixtures.

Pretty much followed the plan. Used https://store.waveformlighting.com/products/centric-daylight-95-cri-led-shop-light-fixture - back at what must have been their pre tariff price!! :( I hate to say it but they are worth it any any price. I still notice the fantastic colors 30 months later...

Canadian garage - experiencing a snow-melt-ice build up issue due to gutter layout. Ideas?

As a general note- I should clarify, but you can kind of gauge from the 2nd photo- this is 22x23 Another general note, we only get about 13-14" of total annual precipitation here. Before humans began successfully stopping the natural grass fires about 110-125 years ago, and planted trees, this...

Canadian garage - experiencing a snow-melt-ice build up issue due to gutter layout. Ideas?

before we start: the cool stuff is inside, or off camera to the left. ;) ... & 2 of the 3 visible cars aren't mine. We experience +9C (48*F) to -40C (-40F) I'm having problem with the thawing. I could use a magic solution. I laid out my garage gutters in a kind of unique way. Looks really...

ICP N95ESN0401410A1 w/Main blower acting funky. Board or electrical failure in motor. Diag steps?

Turns out that..... despite being installed before I bought the house, and never being registered, these do have a few months to run in the default warranty based off production date. So, for now I appear to be covered. It did take calling in a pro, but OTOH I'd have never thought of warranty...
