I just returned a 30mm 12pt socket to Sears on Thursday. It turned out I needed a deep socket so I never used it. The guy behind the counter inspected the socket for about a minute. I thought he was going to pull out a magnifying glass! I guess he takes a little more pride in his work...

Good point...I was trying to get a tig with little additional investment but that welder looks so bad ***. And it's definately worth more than my RV, several times more! The other thought was getting it and finding someone who has three phase and trading again...or just selling on ebay. Thanks...

Ok, I know, this is probably a stupid question...but is it possible to run a 3ph welder on a phase converter? I know you can run machine equipment on a VFD or phase converter but didn't know if you could do the same with a welder. The reason I'm asking is I have my old RV listed for sale on...

It works!!! I put the metal blade on it and cut some scrap I had laying around. The drive slows the blade to a crawl! It cut a 5/16" plate no problem. Now it definately needs a good cleaning, lots of adjusting, some guards and a new base and paint, but I'm always looking for new projects...
