Probably hard to see much of it in the picture ,but the blower is sitting on the hood of my hopefully soon to be epoxy primed 67 imperial.
That is the reason I had the furnace guy leave me this blower when they changed out my house furnace.
I am also going to put some sort of filter in front...
Lucky me I just had a new furnace and a/c installed in the house today.
I have the old furnace blower.I want to mount it on a piece of plywood ,put a plug in cord on it and use it in my garage . The problem is that there are too many wires for me to deal with. I know red and black...
I have a couple of pair of old jeans that I keep around for garage duty.
I also have a couple of old shop coats from work that seem to be a good compromise as they are fast to throw on and reasonably protective.
I quit wearing tennis shoes in the garage a long time ago,and now will only...
1 Replace spark plugs /transmission fluid in daily driver.
2 I have GOT to get my imperial from bare metal to epoxy primer
3 just got a sweet deal on a lawnboy mower from CL
Problem is the engine is in pieces in a cardboard box.
I have to re-assemble...
Thank God not mine ,but 10 years ago when the machine shop I work in went thru a mandated outsourcing of some of its work ,some middle management genius decided that the shop no longer needed some of its equipment.
A really nice smaller surface grinder, a pedestal Sunnen hone , a super nice...
Thank you everyone for the good advice.
I probably should heat the garage full time but given the time I have spent out there lately I just haven't.
The price I pay for that is ice cube floors :(
I like the old Honeywell thermostat ,beyond the fact it doesn't have an on -off switch ...
The Janitrol hanging furnace in my garage has an old round honeywell thermostat controlling the temp .
Seeing as i don't heat the garage all the time I turn the furnace on and off by flipping the breaker every time I'm done in the garage.
Beyond the hassle of having to walk around stuff...
That Moss Rubber squeegee looks sort of like the one I have now.
I don't know how i missed it , last time I was at HD but I'm definitely going to check it out .
Thanks!
Does anyone know who sells a decent floor squeegee?
The one I have now is just about worn out .
I bought it about 10 years ago from Griots Garage and it has worked great.
It is two strips of foam like material that really conform to my uneven garage floor.
Unfortunately...
I would stick with a name brand like Toro ,Snapper, or the like.
I love the two Lawnboys I own ,but you can't get them anymore,at least not of the same two cycle quality these 25 yr old mowers are.
Had estimates from three local contractors this past fall for high efficiency furnace/ac replacement in my 50's Rambler style home.
$3500- $4500 was what was quoted to me, depending on how efficient I wanted to go.
The one I wish I still had I never actually owned.
1961 Imperial Lebaron like this one

I spotted it sitting at the local Ford dealers used car lot December 1973.
Beautifully original and well kept both...
