So I've been practicing like 1-3hrs a day and reading about welding at night :eyecrazy: I'm about a month in and things are moving along pretty good. I just got 40ft of 1.5x1/8" 6061 dropped off just for practice joints and working on consistency. I wasn't going to weld today but couldn't help...

no projects yet, but i got my Everlast 250ex about 2 weeks ago, and have been welding after work about 3 days a week practicing, and things are progressing pretty good. I've never tig welded before buying the machine, but i did spend HOURS upon HOURS reading and watching every video on Youtube...

did they just torque that down on a block of aluminum....wouldn't that possibly mean that it wasn't torqued to 810ft lb? The matco is a great gun though i don't think it comes anywhere near that much torque. A guy in the shop has one and he's only had a problem once, which a matco 1/2in took off...

they come 60 tooth but are upgradable to 88 with a matco kit, very good ratchet, i use one for alignments quite often.

from the pics i could find they look identical, since you could already upgrade to the 88 tooth matco kit, (and in the armstrongs maxx) i would assume this is just new internals, but have yet to see them in person.

you could buy a bunch of double flexes and put them all together till you have a ratchet that flexes in 10 places. :evil:

Sears is seriously killing me but the price is good, I've had that 3/8 ratchet with a matco 88 kit in it for over 2 years and use it everyday in the shop, no problems at all. long story short i have 3 more coming. :lol:
