How would you wire these lights

Thanks. Was a nice project. I'd say it was contained but nothing ever is. I ended up finding that the drywall had sagged pretty heavily in some spots so as I was hanging lights I was zipping screws in. I'll finish the patching in spring.

Ha! I used two of those for the single bulb fixtures because that's where I tapped in for power. I used the normal retrofit boxes for the rest of the fixtures. Can we say it's old if the OP (me) is still posting in it?

How would you wire these lights

I ended up fishing wires through the ceiling. Overall it wasn't too awful because I knew which way the trusses were oriented which allowed me to stay in the same cavity as much as possible. Still took a few hours but the result is really nice. I skipped the middle light because of the garage...

I've had two of those fail. One was DOA and the other just gave up.

If I had easy access that would be a reasonable path but I don't have access here :(

It might work but it's going to be tight. I'm not sure I could get the nut on the back since the hole will be almost the same height as the box in this case.

How would you wire these lights

My attached garage has exactly two light sockets like most builder grade garage setups. I experimented with those as seen on TV LED panels that screw into the sockets but after having multiples die within a year it's time to upgrade to a proper setup. I picked up 7 of these (6 for the main...

    Miller Pricing

I wish I could say I'm surprised. I know a lot of places are still dealing with inventory issues on all kinds of things. Run into it at work still I keep half an eye out, but honestly I don't have the patience for it. I like welding and fabricating but this isn't my day job.

    Miller Pricing

I originally noted that a bunch of places including cyber weld were noting that the price was 5300 normally but it was on sale at 4200. Since that turned out to not be the case (as you noted and I confirmed with the internet archive) the attraction of saving over 1000 went away. Yeah the build...

Aluminum is on the list. I looked heavily at the Lincoln 210MP when it came out a few years ago. The lack of AC and HF start (1st world problem) where what kept me on the sidelines. Thanks. I've got 240 in the shop so the DCs are a bit better, but I agree certainly less than the HTP specs...

Have you gotten a quote for the work done vs buying the machine and completing the work yourself. The Volvo's are the tip of the proverbial iceberg. I haven't gotten a quote for them, and if that was the only project that I would be using this for then I'm 100% in agreement with you.

The PrimeWeld stuff looks good. It's missing AC Tig which I'd like for some limited aluminum work. I'm also looking for HF start which is mainly a personal preference over lift arc. I was spoiled when I learned :( The prices are competitive enough that I could probably buy two machines though...

    Miller Pricing

I don't mind a new helmet. My old one is pretty beat up no name one that isn't auto darkening. Most places show 5300 as list, miller doesn't but it's the first time I recall seeing a price that high. Exactly. The rebate is, to me, somewhat trivial, but if the price is going to make a big...

My wife must really hate my Volvos to the point where for Christmas she was going to buy me a welder. I've been giving her the excuse that I need to fix them before I get rid of them and they need a bit of welding. I've been looking at the Miller Multimatic 220 since I don't really want two...

Why am I the only one in my neighborhood to pay for a backflow test every year?

Some of this overreach, but it depends very much on the design of the system and how failures will manifest themselves.
