    Rousseau Tool Cabinets

Soooo, finally getting around to posting this (have had these build for a month or two)...but I custom made a desk and workbench to match up with the Rousseau cabs in the new shop.

    Toolbox Drawer Heights - Recommendations/Feedback

Already got the new box ;) https://www.garagejournal.com/forum/threads/rousseau-tool-cabinets.554148/

    Rousseau Tool Cabinets

As already mentioned, the sides support the main weight of the drawer across the span. The other thing with the Rousseau cabinets is the centers where the tools are is MUCH thicker steel than normal toolboxes, I'd guess 14 or 16 gauge? I know parts of the box are 12 gauge as well. The other...

    New Alliance Vendor: Olsa Tools

It's not the size, it's the oddball 4.5mm that most sets don't have and the really really tiny 1/8" that I've literally never seen that just don't make sense. Or another way to look at it, you've designed for the most complete "master" sets in both your 2 and 3 row holders, with literally every...

    New Alliance Vendor: Olsa Tools

I just picked up the 6 piece set of 2 row magnetic socket holders...I'm not entirely sure how I feel about them, the sizes don't line up well with the sets I have, so I have empties but at the same time sizes that didn't fit (ahem 15mm 1/4 drive). Build quality seems decent though, prices seem a...

These drawer liners were included, they're the "PVC" ones, but they have a few different options including 1/4" foam ones and the multi-layer ones you can cut to do outlines. These ones in particular allow for the use of bin cups and the partitions with the drawer liner still in place...the...

Yes I do, and it's the one from Rousseau...you can see it in the video I linked previously.

My 60" drawers feel just as solid as my 24" drawers, I don't notice any lack of rigidity in them, there's enough bracing to support the weight/width. I'm sure if you tried to make a 120" drawer or something it would become a problem lol

You do lose a bit of drawer space, but as the other person above mentioned, it does let you get a different variety of drawers both in height and config. I'd also rather open a lighter smaller drawer with say little odds and ends, then a single big wide drawer divided up.

    New TEKTON German Made Hammers

Just to pile on here, but Tekton used to be decent quality and affordable, or at least reasonably priced....I had added a few tools from them here and there over the years and was happy. Every time I go and look at their tools now, I'm shocked, and don't get it...I can go buy the original OEM...

I was really tempted by the green (either drawers or cabinet), but went Charcoal Grey fully because it would have been overwhelming to have a brightly coloured toolbox in this room.

Yeah, see, that box price is quite reasonable....the freight though is rough :( I wonder if there's a way if you just did LTL to depot and picked up or something if you could get it for cheaper?

Not sure what you mean common 54...but you can do 3 full width drawers and the rest either half split or one wider/one narrower.

LoL I don't have that much test equipment :D I do have a siglent scope, power supply, bench meter, and waveform generator, so those four will occupy some of this space.

How bad is shipping to the US? My freight was around $500, liftgate to residential address. What layout did you want?
