    Roll up door fitment

On the side door it appears that your header for the door opening is above the bottom of the rolled up door. For this door/opening the header should be lower or the door and side rails should be higher. The upper door stopper on the side rails should be above the door header, this keeps the...

Oil in bolt hole of 2 post lift. One bolt accidently pull out!

Oil floats on water, if the hole is not all the way through the slab then fill it with water for a few days, it will slowly draw out any oil in the pores of the concrete for you and the free oil will then float to the the top of the water to be cleaned up. Then dry, clean with solvent, dry and...

rain water collection - anyone done a "wet" system?

Works fine for me, we have two roofs 800sqft each, with each feeding its own 5000 gallon tank through 150ft of 4" PVC line underground - just 1x4" inlet going into each tank. Has been in use now for over 20 years without any problems. The top of downpipes is 20" above tank inlet. We get about...

    Metal Lathe How to?

Safety First: A few tips. Safety glasses or face shield. No loose hair anywhere near rotating parts. Never leave chuck key in the chuck, if you take your hand away from the chuck for any reason take out the chuck key. Swarf is quite often razor sharp, avoid handling it. Cheers Jamie

Show off your "Custom Handled Ratchet"

Before and after - broken plastic handle on a 3/8" Sichrome ratchet replaced with a turned aluminium. Kept the original style as I like it and it also still then fits in the original case. 0.003" interference fit pressed on with a 6 tonne hydrauic press. Jamie
