    Tools of Japan

Extensions 2/3, spinners 1/3 of the time for me. Glad to have them in addition to the extensions as there are times that they really help.

Tidied up a Dawn offset that was the unfortunate bearer of the least pleasant red paintjob I have seen on a vice: Put on some basic jaws to get it functional again. More pics etc here...

Anyone ever heard of/seen a KV swivelling bench vice with anvil marked as coming from the USSR? Picked one up today but can't seem to find any information on it, like what the KV stands for... Kliment Voroshilov comes up when trying to find info on Russian KV acronyms but I'm not sure that's...

Ratchets - Quick release or not

Between having arthritis in my hands and oil making sockets slippery QR ratchets are the only type I use. Like most things, though, it will come down to personal preference and experience as to which you prefer.

New here- Has anyone made money with their auto lift?

I was looking at doing some of that around here for friends until the Office of Fair Trading informed me it was something like a $50k fine if I was found to be doing work without a proper mechanic's license. That plus liability concerns put paid to any thoughts of that.
