    When I test my guys welds I lock them in the vice and beat them with my sledge or split them with the air chisel.. lol Looks like your getting the hang of it. Miller and Lincoln both have some decent videos, I recommend Weld.com on you tube to a lot of folks starting out..

    And thats why shock towers were notched. Had a friend just hole saw his but pulling tires to change plugs was also a nuisance..

    I'd hollar at Kershaw, odd break. Lock broke on mine and they handled it only cost me the shipping.

    Up until a year ago I was living in Santa Rosa, moved up from So Cal, had alot of issues adjusting to the damn Monsoons was glad I had my 4x4. never could get used to mass rain and flooding one day and sunshine the next. But thats why its all such a pretty green.

    You should take an old crank bolt and weld it to the head on the stand so you can screw the crank on and build right there, best thing I ever did on mine..

    they're easy motors, could overhaul it and repaint etc. in a day, Bentley manuals are the best, can also look on the Samba.com for any questions or concerns. wouldn't hurt to go through it just to know where it's at..

    I've had many a New rotor that were not true, which ***** having to pull them back off and turn. I'm back on the hunt for an old lathe just like that. Dads shop had two older ones great machines! one even has a shoe grinder on it to re arch new brake shoes..

    :)Could just weld tabs and bolt it on incase ya ever need to replace them but yeah it can be a pain, best way is to focus on the heavy and flow into the sheet typical back and forth kind of lie a crescent moon. done it lots, take your time :beer:

    So I'm a month or so behind on getting the wood box built for Amanda and got a 3 day weekend with a little sun.. well seems about time to get her done! Right .... finished sorting through the pallet boards to find enough of the right length I needed yesterday and got it all assembled last night...

    that should do the trick. I built mine with 6 2.5" struts 2x4 top and base with 3/4" birch plywood side panels. Tank is 120 gallon and the cabinet will support a Toyota tacoma ..
