    The amount of prep is one of the factors going into making the final decision. I really like the look of epoxy, but I'm not sure it's the best choice for me. My #1 concern is protecting the concrete from chemical spills (mostly automotive, but also things like paints, varnishes, and thinners)...

    Garage/workshop coming together

    We're north of Raleigh, near the intersection of 98 and 50. I was actually sad to had to take out as many trees as I did, but it was really the only place it could go. I kept a few big oak trunks and I hope to have them lumbered and make some workbenches.

    Exterior dims are 28 x 32, ceiling is 10'. I expect to use it for a little bit of everything. To start with it'll mostly be woodwork and wrenching, but I'd like to add some metalworking before too long.

    My longtime goal of a good-sized, detached garage/workshop is almost there. I'm having the shell built, with plumbing and basic electrical in place. Now I'm ready to start hanging out here to get ideas on how to finish it. :rocker:
