Just had my new doors installed and was wondering about the support of the entire door being held up by one screw on either track. Should this be reenforced or the nolt replaced by a heavy duty grade 8 bolt?
Thanks. I was googling and found the same info as well. I also found read that someone purchased a liftmaster from amazon and it didn't come with the battery. I'm hoping my installer gets one in there if that is the case.
I'd rather have a "better" product than more accessories, as they are...
So we are going to replace are old doors and openers. Still deciding on the doors.
What is the difference between the above two models of openers? The only thing I can tell is that the chamberlain comes with more stuff in the box. It has an additional remote opener and they come with remote...
The installer for chi also told me that the bottom of the door where the rubber seal attaches is aluminum and not steel so it won't rust but I have a hard time believing that. Any truth to that?
Getting quotes from installers for new doors and openers.
Amarr 3138 vs CHI 2216. Both are the same price as the CHI installer matched the Amaar installer price.
I tried to find info on the Amarr 3138 but came up empty. Looks like the 3138 which is a 1-3/8" door, R value is 14.4. 27/27G...
Sorry, I don't know anything about concrete, grinding, filling, etc. So when the pro came out he said the same. He stated there is enough garage floor slope and the depression should be filled. If filled, the water should not sit there as there is still enough slope to drain outside. He...
Getting back to the concrete. Should I just use a cheap angle grinder to grind some of the floor away. Starting from where the edge of the concrete going into the garage to that depression in the concrete.
What grinder wheel should I use. Links please.
Will it leave a smooth finish like the...
yes I need to do some edging but that isn't the issue. again the issue is the water from blowing rain against the doors, water dripping off cars, pools in the section on only the one side of the garage as seen in the video. The garage doors are over 20 years old. It only has a thin rubber...
Sorry I've been away from this thread as I've had other pressing matters. Anyway I had a pro come out to look at the area.
1. He stated I do have a slope to the driveway where water should drain off the side into the grass. I already knew this. Water doesn't flow from the driveway into the...
That would just keep the water in the garage. Isn't water supposed to flow out under garage doors? Am I the only one that doesn't have a drain in my garage floor?
Trying to find some contractors that do concrete work but they are big industrial guys that probably don't want to be bothered with...
