Here are some crappy pics of the lights. (I think the camera adjusted due to the light)
After going back and forth between these and the James LED's I decided to go with these over the James solely due to two reasons.
1. Prismatic Diffuser Option. I have 12.5' ceilings and I wanted the best...
Oh and ... I managed to drop one of them from 12.5' High. Cracked the lens, but the lights still work good. Contacted the Manufacturer who sent me new lenses for a few bucks !
(Note: I did have to bang some of the metal back into shape, but wasn't anything crazy)
Finally got these in. I may have gone overkill. Hopefully I don't blind myself after using these lights. :shocking:
Will try to get pictures up, but they don't really do the lights justice.
I prefer to use square/rectangle shapes that traverse stud to stud or multiple studs. That way you can just screw in new pieces of drywall without having to run anchors or braces.
Good to know. Do you have a link for the motion sensors ? Or is it an option when you order the james lights ?
I ordered one of Amazon lights I posted earlier to try out. It will get here tomorrow so will try to get it hung over the weekend and provide you guys feedback.
Dirtrunner,
I actually checked out a few different versions of this light. (Made in China and rebranded 100 different ways)
The two big drawbacks on these were the cost, and the beam angle is fairly narrow for my application. I'm not sure how you would mount your lights (at crest or somewhere...
Thanks cybr.
I keep wanting to bite the bullet on the James LEDs but want something with a motion sensor and also better dispersion of the light since my ceiling is only 12ft. I saw that these had an option for motion sensor as well as a prismatic diffuser that helps spread light for low bay...
Tried these out in my garage. The problem with these is that most of the light is dispersed horizontally. I tried one similar to the one mentioned above as well as a Cone style but neither were good.
For my garage, the ceilings are 12ft up so the majority of the light was around the ceiling and...
OP,
I went with the Mohawk System I over other manufacturers for primarily this reason. With the wheel adapters, I am able to store my vehicles (sports cars) without any concern of suspension issues in the future. As far as I am aware, Mohawk has a patent on these wheel adapters hence why...
RS, are those the Mohawk ones or custom ones you made ? They look different than ones I got from Mohawk.
They are definitely heavy and cumbersome to install/remove - But well worth it if I'm doing any procedure where the wheels don't have to come off.
Brandon,
Where did you get the diffuser from ?
* Disregard, it looks like the diffuser comes with the light.
I'm confused as to what to go with. I was originally looking at the 225W James, and doing 6 of those for my 20x30x12.5.
But then ran across the FEIT LED lights at Costco.... I...
