New 24x24 garage build with lift

Dennis & Mr Balll, Thank you for the feedback, now looking now at Atlas PV-9 from Greg Smith which will barely fit into 12' space but has both symmetrical and assymetrical design catering to small cars and large trucks. It's too late to change the plans, already at engineering stage. We...

New 24x24 garage build with lift

Just spoke to BendPak and looked more carefully at specs, the XPR-10S requires 132" space or approx 11' from outside column to outside column so it looks like column will fit 6" from side wall to fit into 12' wide open side. Can anyone with a lift in a 12x24 space chime in here with anything I...

New 24x24 garage build with lift

Starting new build 24x24 with half open for lift and half loft for attic storage with full stairs. We are excavating this weekend, laying stone and rebar and hope to pour concrete next weekend. I'm going with 4000 psi, 6" stone and 5 or 6" concrete with reinforced areas 24"Wx24"Lx12" deep for...

    Sherwin Williams (H & C ) floor coatings

I installed SW ArmorSeal in 2001, prepped new floor after 6 months of curing according to instructions, washed, etched etc. Put down SW primer coat and 1 color coat, no gloss coat. It looked good for about a year or 2, then had hot tire pick-up. It's now cracked and peeled in places and...

Paint chips down, freaked to lay clear!!

Thanks for info, sounds like I'd need closer to 20lbs for 600sq ft, though I was not going for complete coverage as you did. Did you use any anti-skid additive? I have a back entry door and thinking of just doing it on main path for foot traffic.

Paint chips down, freaked to lay clear!!

Looks great, getting ready to re-do my floor after 10 years and plan to do chips this time. How many pounds did you use for yours and how large is it? Ordering by the pound off eBay for a 600sqft garage, looking for heavy coverage and thinking about 10-12 lbs. Thx.

Advice on re-doing epoxy floor (long)

Fred, Thanks for the detailed response. My logic with 2 coats of color was based on the SW single coat over primer not holding up that well, I thought 2 coats will be thicker than 1. I didn't think of applying a single thicker coat. This product is very thick to work with and only has a pot...

Advice on re-doing epoxy floor (long)

I've been reading the forum for a few years, enjoying the pictures and makeovers. I did my 20x30 garage floor 9 years ago when I built my house, i.e. new concrete, cured for 6 months. I used Sherwin Williams ArmorSeal 1000HS which is a high-solids 2 part epoxy. I did all the right prep...
