Check out Gibson63 on Utube. He has a lot of MIG welding videos on a couple of pickup trucks that he is restoring. Most of the videos involve him welding and fitting parts which he does quite well. Go to a junk yard and pick up some metal and just practice with it until you feel like you can...
I recently got one of these benders. They include worthless directions that tell you nothing. Now these things are not rocket science but there are 2 attachments that are a bit of a mystery. The first pic is a clamp with a cutout...no clue what this is for. Second pic is of 2 pushers. Left one...
Very nicely done. There is a company on line that sells on Ebay that has the aluminum frame that is cut out and requires finishing with a mill to make it a usable tool. Their name is Alisam Engineering. Good for someone who lacks your skills to make one from scratch.
1. Use the black nozzle.
2. If that does not work, sometimes the ball bearing gets gunked up with cleaner. Take the fitting apart (don't lose the spring if there is one) and make sure everything is clean and the ball bearing is not sticking.
Any ramps that leave air between the bottom of your tires and the ground can collapse. I have had good luck with Rhino ramps, but always keep a jack or two under the car or a set of jack stands. Don't let any ramps give you a false sense of security, build yourself a set of solid wood ramps that...
There are specs on line at www.discgolf.com for all the critical dimensions. There is also a park near our house that has a course and I was able to take some pictures and measurements there also.
Next is the base to hold the whole thing up. I welded a ring on the main pole to locate the height of the basket. There are 18 outer chains that are held together on the bottom with a 3-1/2" ring that slips over the pole.

Next came the top that holds the 18 chains that slow down the disc and guide it into the basket. The top ring needed to be 4" wide and the tubing roller would only roll a 3" max so I ended up rolling 2-2" rings and welding them together to end up with a 4" ring.
1 thru 5 The 4" top ring and...
The basket was probably the greatest challenge because everything needs to fit together reasonable well and come out straight and contain the disc when it catches it. I ended up making a plywood jig to get it together and hold it while being welded.

A few months ago my son asked me if I would make him a Disc Golf Target to practice with in his back yard. I knew nothing about disc golf but said, of course I would. Now you can't just throw these things together any old way you feel like because they have to be made to the correct diemensions...
