First score worth posting in a long time. The Plomb wrenches were individually priced for a total of $160. Asked if they’d discount the whole lot and the guy said $40. I did pay full price for the tool board. Thought the aviation clipboard was super cool too
Found these Art Metal file cabinets at Restore. Got the pair for $35. Should clean up nice. Looks like solid brass hardware. Three different patent dates of 1908, 1911 and 1917, so I’m guessing these might be from the 1920s? My internet skills haven’t turned up any quite like these.
Found these at an Estate Sale this AM. Never seen the logo in this orientation. Brief research makes me think these are quite early? Only markings (besides owners initials) are a 9 or 6, and a V that may or may not be factory.
Thought I’d share my Sunday afternoon Plomb wrench bottle opener project. I’ve got about 47 projects that are more pressing right now, but this is what I worked on today. Didn’t think to snap any before pics, but this scrap of wrench I got when I bought a toolbox full of tools started so rusty...
Former Synthes employee here and that is definitely a Synthes screwdriver. I worked in Spine, but that driver I think has multiple applications for various Ortho systems. Not sure what material the handles are (I probably knew at one point), but I always thought faux wood was a curious choice...
First significant find in a long time for me. Plomb is relatively plentiful around here but this chest is the first real Blackhawk I’ve found.
Filled with various USA 3/4 drive sockets and extensions, and lots of USA wrenches.
Favorite find other than the box itself is the tiny war finish...
My 3rd Toolmobile find is in pretty rough cosmetic shape, but drawers work smoothly. Looks to be quite a bit of original paint under there, hoping I can get down to it and preserve enough that it looks ok...
Luckily I have an extra front panel.

I redid this one several years ago, but if memory serves I think it just had a wood wedge. I added the steel ones to tighten it up. The wood was pretty dry and loose. I apparently got a little happy with the red paint too.

Hey all, I came across this set at an estate sale today. I don’t recall seeing any Snap-On labeled “Chicago” before. Sockets all seem to have a 1929 or 1930 date code. Not sure how rare this is, but I’ve never seen one before and thought it was worth sharing. (Also pictured a Snap On speeder...
Picked these up for $5 each on offer up. Pretty happy to find these, but I do wish the most recent owner hadn’t decided to hang them with screws right through the lady’s head.
Also, I have a pretty decent Plomb/Proto LA collection and have never come across a single metric item from this era...
