    "Another" insulation question, help please

I guess I'll input my experience as well I just (dec 17th) took possession of a new house which is "Energy-Star" rated. Our garage is attached to the house but by the builder was NOT going to be insulated as it didn't need to be to qualify for the E-star rating. Being that we put on a 3 car...

Looking for suggestions for a quality brand of Windows

I too will suggest Jeld-Wen for windows. We just built our house and used all Jeld-Wen products (doors and windows) and all is well. Easy to clean (they flip inwards to wash easily which is a bonus for our 2nd story) and look great.

Floor thickness for 2 post lift.

my builder did me a HUGE favour and put 36" sonotubes in for me during the pouring process. I now have 5' deep (yes 5 feet) 36" round pads for my hoist to be installed on. :) There is no kill like overkill. i've read 6" is the recommended for 2 post hoists rated to 9k pounds or so.

Building new house = new garage :)

Thanks guys. The heater will be vented outside for sure. The R22 bats will fit inside 2x6 studding easily as I've installed it before in my neighbors walls. I'll do the vapour barrier for sure now. :)

    New here :)

Well I was passed along this site from one of my car forums as I am building a few house this fall and my part of the house is the garage :) I'd have it no other way :bounce: I'm in residential HVAC as a career (sales) and I'm a car guy in my free time. I got to have my 3 car garage so my wife...
