    paint type for interior wall

oops. I haven't logged on it quite awhile. I went with sherwin Williams network grey satin finish. I thought it was going to be too dark at first but it's good. Shouldn't show dirt too easy.

@showkey, that makes sense now. Thanks for the explanation @doorfx that is really cool. I didn't even know something like that existed. I am going to look into getting a couple of those. That would keep most if not all the water from running to the front of my garage and sitting there til...

Vent it like as in all the time or vent it by opening the door for a bit when it's bad? There is a small roof vent that is covered, but I could uncover it. Sorry for the stupid questions.

    Moisture

Thanks showkey. I have A floor drain, but my garage is on an old slab that isn't exactly level and the majority of the snow/water goes to the front of the garage, and not to the drain. I'm not sure how I can remedy that if it's even possible since that's where the tool boxes and the storage...

Happy new year all. I have a 22x22 detached garage with a hip roof. No ceiling. I'm just outside of Chicago. The walls are insulated and drywalled and painted with a quality paint. The roof has faced insulation in the rafters, and the garage doors are insulated. I have a mr heater natural...

    baseboard question

Went with the PVC moulding. Went on pretty easy. Caulk job is good from far but far from good. I put a thick bead of cauld behind the base moulding so that should keep water off the footing wood.

Any issues with mounting an auto retractable hose reel horizontally/sideways?

I work at a car dealership and one of the other mechanics mounted one sideways (on the wall). Never had an issue with it. It's been about 7 years of daily use.

    paint type for interior wall

So I spent all day Saturday painting. Man, I really don't like painting. I think it came out well though. Sherwin williams network grey. Satin finish. 1 coat of drywall primer and 2 coats of the color.

    baseboard question

You can see the gap that I'm trying to fill in the second and third pic. First pic is just a before pic.

    baseboard question

I will have to attach some pictures so it makes more sense on what I want to do. I want low to no maintenance for the base board so I wasn't looking to paint wood. The salty water tends to run to the 2 corners of the garage in winter time since it's an old slab that isn't perfectly level...

    baseboard question

I just got my garage walls drywalled. They are up about an inch off the ground. Obviously there is a 5/8 gap from the stud to the drywall. I want to install a baseboard to help keep the water away from the insulation/drywall in the winter. I work at a dealership and there is a section of...

    paint type for interior wall

Thanks for the info. I'm going to head to the paint store tomorrow. They were closed by the time I got off my **** today. I'll post up some pics of the whole garage before during and after. I'll have to do the floor at some point, but it'll have to be after winter

    paint type for interior wall

I just got my garage interior drywalled. I am getting a primer for it, and originally planned on just leaving it primed but after doing some reading it seems that I would be better off putting a top coat on of a color other than white. Probably a light grey or something similar. My question...
