personally, i like the option 1 spoiler.. i think it flows better with the tapered ends. rather than the abrupt ends of the others. on the contractor front, i literally had a meeting with our contractor to start a kitchen and he made the same suggestion. only difference for us is its a kitchen...

For lights, its hard to beat an LED (fluorescent style housing) i got an 8' LED for 20$ with two other 8' florescent included and i would buy one at the full price 80$ after installing. it is phenomenal light
