It's not too bad, I did it on my 2000 Tundra v6 (5vz). I didn't have to make the tool since it was a manual transmission. It takes a while to get in there and unless you cut the plastic cover, you will need to drain and re-fill the coolant. This kinda implies that if you want to do anything...

For my first post, I have my not quite vintage 1974 Montgomery Ward Air Compressor. I tore it down, replaced the bearings, cut some new gaskets, cleaned out the motor... Doesn't seem to build up more than 25 psi in the tank though... I'm guessing the reed valves need to be replaced?
