Can anyone point me to a procedure for reinstalling the cylinders on the pistons? I've looked around, but I haven't found anything. Maybe I'm just not hitting the right search terms. What ring compressor should I use, and do I do them one at a time, or both at once? Thanks.

So, a light hone and put it back together with a new head gasket? I ordered a head gasket only, just in case. It should be here today.

@The Cobbler The ring gap here is about 13 thousandths. Is that acceptable?

Thanks for the link. It pressurized the crankcase enough that the top of the dipstick breather blew off. So, it made me think too much. I suspected rings, but it really didn't seem too bad when I tore it down. I did notice the torn gasket pointed out by @The Cobbler and I don't think I did that...

My compressor recently ran away due to a blown hose that was left connected until the pressure switch overheated and threw the breaker. When I started it back up, it built pressure but it was pressurizing the crank case. Here are some pictures from the teardown. I'm not sure where I should be...

I checked for vacuum leaks and checked the jets. Everything looked fine, but it was still the same thing. I turned this screw a quarter turn clockwise and now it has been running fine.
