    Options for removing garage humidity

Don't think that's the case, similiar to you before my pour I laid a solid sheet of Stego liner, 10mil I think.

    Options for removing garage humidity

Thanks for all the replies. Any idea what size mini split I should be looking at for my barn which is well insulated at 1536sqft with 12' sidewalls and scissor trusses (so ~14.5'h at the peak)? From doing a little digging on older posts here it looks like it's more critical to make sure the...

    Options for removing garage humidity

So it looks like if I want to keep the place closed up I need to be looking at a mini-split, a dehumidifier or a window air conditioner. Hindsight being 20/20 I probably should have just done the mini-split from the start, instead of the hanging furnace, and I could have both seasons covered...

    Options for removing garage humidity

My situation is that I have a very well insulated 32x48 shop, scissor trussed with 12' sidewalls. Here in Michigan in the winter it holds heat well enough that it never gets below freezing even without running the furnace for weeks at a time. In the summer it's just opposite, it could be 90f...

Why am I the only one in my neighborhood to pay for a backflow test every year?

Some of you guys put a lot of faith in you local inspectors. I'm not a contractor but have done lots of wiring pulling permits maybe 50% of the time. I have never had an inspector "check for loose wires" or tightness of terminations, all have just quickly walked through, passed the inspection...

    School me on pallet racking

It's been a dry spell in my area for racking lately. Been stalking marketplace and CL for a good year and there hasn't been much of anything for sale other than resellers looking for top dollar. I'd really like some 12' wide beams though to stack some snowmobiles so it does make the search...

Stealing 110v power source from lift 220v power supply

Yep, no plan to run higher than a 20amp breaker. A lift I had looked at before settling on this one needed a 25amp breaker which was the reason for the heavier gauge wire. Cool, thanks fellas.

Stealing 110v power source from lift 220v power supply

I did some searching but I get a pretty good mix of whether what I want to do is doable. When I built my barn I planned ahead for a two post lift install and put a junction box on the ceiling with 10/3 wire ran to it. I've now installed the lift and I'm really regretting not running a second...

2 Post lift frame cradle help.

Great, the rubber pad would actually be a bonus. I see the cradle is 2.75" wide so I just need to make sure my Duramax frame is narrower than that.

2 Post lift frame cradle help.

Thank you, I will check them out. How are they working out for you? Edit- Just did some looking and can't seem to find any frame cradles on that site, by chance would you have a link or a part number?

I did consider this, just don't know if the lesser tolerance would be an issue.

2 Post lift frame cradle help.

I have a Weaver 10k W-pro10 lift that I recently installed. The lift works great but after reading some horror stories of the included flat pads slipping out from under undercoated truck frames I decided I better order the frame cradles. Bad part now is that Weaver is out of stock of the...

    Which lift to buy?

I just looked and my order was placed June 9th. We'll see but they said to expect delivery in the next 1-2 weeks when I last spoke to them. If I get it before the snow flies I'll be happy, between work and summer travel I wouldn't have had the time to put it up anyway. I've sort of wondered a...
