1972 Alfa Romeo GT Junior Restoration

This is an awesome thread. My dad used to have two Alfa GTV 6's and still drives a 164, not sure on years. Around here its impossible to find anyone who works on them, most mechanics do not want to touch it. One of my favorite cars is the Montreal. anyway look forward to seeing more.

Need some help building this very simple bracket

Larry, I do not think I can do it this way. Reason being, the center for the circle is 1/2 inch away from the edge. If I butted them up the way you advised, I would end up with a thickness of 2 inches, instead of the desired 1.5 inches. Please tell me I am wrong, because that seems like the...

Need some help building this very simple bracket

Ok so I just want a little input as to how YOU would make this. The material is 3/16 steel. Any input is appreciated. My original plan was to use a 4 inch hole saw to cut the arcs. The drawing is a little confusing. It is one piece.

Show us your cool, "old" drill press

Thanks tarnished! I do not think I am ready to tear it apart and do a restore quite yet. I will try and get a spring from the suggested site, I opened the spring cover and found the spring was completely cut about 2 inches from the end. Also the head raising feature works, however i feel a rough...
