Thanks guys! The father in laws favorite two lines after I buy anything are "you coulda got it cheaper" and "a fool and his money are soon parted." Every damn time. :lol: And I'll strip it down and paint it and put it to use.

The base is about 27 inches or so and the base is 1/4 inch I believe (I'd have to measure it when I get home though). Its pretty damn heavy.

Yep, I'm pretty much the same way. Especially with anvils and vises it seems. And I ended up paying 200. Prob too much but I wanted it.

Looks legit. Alot of the anvil stampings look like a drunk monkey made them. With the condition and the heel broken off, no way I'd buy it. You'll find others in much better condition.
