    Dehumidifying large shop area

I bought a Sante Fe Classic dehumidifier for my basement. It's a commercial unit but it is a serious workhorse. Basement is 64'x28x10' but my unit can handle much more than that. Ran me about $1600.00. JC

dusk to dawn LED light recommendation

Get the Streetworks (Utility) version of the Eaton/Cooper Lighting Caretaker. It's the real deal and will be with you for the long haul. Make sure to put an LED utility grade photocontrol on it as well. Yes, I'm in the Utility business. JC

    Electric water heater choice?

If you have Natural Gas and it's relatively inexpensive you may want to look at tankless/on-demand. I didn't have that option so I went with the Rheem Marathon water heater. So far it has done a superb job. Stay away from the big box stores..... JC

    Dehumidifiers

I bought a Santa Fe Classic several months back. Talk about a serious machine. Not cheap but worth it. Keeps the basement dry and no more musty basement smell. JC

    High Power Bill

Your bill comes out to right at $.18/kwh, that seems high. I would check to see what your power company's residential rate is supposed to be and go from there. I'm in the utility business and a lot of mistakes are being made these days to do processes being automated, etc. JC

    Tennessee Hangar Project

Awesome project! Do you know, or have you ever heard of, a gentleman in TN by the name of Joe Fleeman? He restores antique aircraft in Lawrenceburg, TN. He is the brother of my brother-in-law. Restoring planes is the only job he has ever known, a true craftsman. JC

    Clearing A/C Condensate Drain Line

Be careful using bleach. If you have a metal drip pan and it gets in there you cannot stop the rust that will follow. Trust me on this one. That "T" not being capped off can also cause you some drainage issues. The positive pressure on the drain line keeps things flowing. Seems like my drains...

1966 F100 EcoBoost Engine Swap (EcoBoosted)

Have that checked you for a Staph infection? I battled eczema my whole life and a couple of years ago I went to a new dermatologist. She cultured a couple of my sites and they both came back positive for Staph. I have been through several rounds of oral antibiotics since then and would be...

Ford F150 5.4 engine oil burning.

My 2008 F150 5.4 will burn 1.5 quarts in 4,000 miles. Dealer said that this was "normal". Truck now has 121K on it and has no ill effects. If this were my truck and not a company truck I would NOT be happy.... JC
