Do you have rafter vents?? IMO this is the only way to prevent the ice dams at the bottom of the roof, you must keep that warm air from getting to the roof itslef.

Of course you need to vent the warm air out to keep the temp low.
Craigslist is where to look for box trailers. I have a 14 with. 7 foot ceiling. Weighs right at 2000 lbs. It's a dual axle and tows like a dream. Used mostly for motorcycles.
If you do as suggested, you can get a few more inches of lift when lifting under the car. This will be a great improvement t when you are working under the car.
Yup, the QD's were the ones with the pin. New ones were just round balls. I "think" the springs were weka on some and as soon as the oil would flow, one of the balls would seat and jam the lift.

I have the same roll around table. It needs to be cut down to use it under the car to hold tools and stuff.
I had this problem with mine and it was the couplings. They were original from MJ and ****. I called them and they sent ne ones that were of much better quality.
Only way to get it down was to loosen the fittings at the pump and let the oil bleed into a pan.
Tkae the head off and get a machine shop to figure it out on a milling machine or with an EDM to disintegrate it out of the hole. Either way it looks like the hole will have to be helicoiled once the plug is out of the hole.
