Which Brand of Floor Tile is This?

Well at least I have an extra piece. Haven't walked around stores asking if they've seen it before, but they don't usually know anything these days. Ask for paint to be remixed a few years later, and they can't look it up, even if you know the brand and color name. Maybe I'll find something...

Which Brand of Floor Tile is This?

I have the same question... don't see anything printed on the bottom. It's 15-3/4" though.

What would you use to fill in gaps between plywood?

    That looks good.

What would you use to fill in gaps between plywood?

Something like 3/4" actual thickness plywood, if wood was underneath it, but there was a gap between that and a new piece added next to it (because it was oddly cut to begin with).

Ball Peen Hammers. You use them for....?

One thing I wouldn't use mine for is prying against anything. All metal handles that are thin in the middle will bend like a nail. They bend back too, but that's obviously pushing it.

What’s your favorite measuring tape and why?

Yeah, I guess it's not uncommon, looking up telescoping rulers now, I see they are out there, just not around here. Cost more too of course. Funny though, they use a special telescoping measure for the sport of "lawn bowls", and have a number of other specialized instruments for that...

    Milwaukee Hackzall Belt Clip Mod

Looks pretty good. I might put a rubber thread protector over the end of the bolt to insulate it too (as you can see it poking inward in the third picture), except I don't have a 'zall to hack.

What’s your favorite measuring tape and why?

Lately I've tried using a telescoping magnetic picker upper to measure height between structural pieces. First I cut its little rubber drip dry tip off the bottom of the handle to make it flat there. It's good for moving around an area to check if the height is the same for something like a 4x4...

Ball Peen Hammers. You use them for....?

The ball end works for breaking apart floor tile into little pieces. Just figured that out after getting fed up with a chisel, to instead use the full force of a pulverizing hammer, it went a lot faster and was easier to bag up. Incidentally, I wouldn't recommend dropping one on a tile floor then...

Isn't this hardware unusual, on paper?

That's interesting, although they have the heavy ones separated by category, and it appears that the specification reference number corresponds to the category. I was looking at standard ones, which show the same specification between hex and square, which is different than the heavy versions...

Thanks for the info. So it's weird that a 1/4" square bolt would be under sized compared to a square nut, or hex nut and bolt, given that those aren't over sized.
