All you guys dumping on Craftsman screwdrivers-just wait a few years, when I sell this for megabucks on ebay, and build my dream garage with the proceeds....You'll beeeee sorryyyyyyyyyyy...
I have one just like that! no markings on it that I can see. I put a new cartridge of grease in it yesterday. I had been wanting a grease gun for my boat and other stuff at my cottage, and went to Oreillys-I looked at the "Made in India" Lincoln, and decided to see if I could get that old one...
That's too bad-but he still had a whole bunch of other NOS S-K stuff, and a whole store full of other interesting stuff. Did you find anything else there?
That S-K display I posted has a price tag of $193.45 on it. I saw it at the "Tool Shop" in Westland, Mi. They have a website, if you are interested. I've bought a ton of tools at that place, and sold a few, too.
I mainly use SAE, with two Model As, a Model T, a Farmall Cub, a '46 Willys,.....etc,etc. Yeah, I have a wall of SAE stuff that I can grab as needed. I'm not a total primitive-my old Honda,Yamaha, and Hodaka motorcycles need my Metric stuff, too.
When the auto plant I worked in was closed, it was full of tool boxes and work benches, all with a vise on them-sometimes a vise and a pipe vise, too. There were hundreds of them-maybe thousands. The scrap guys got it all when the plant was torn down. Who knows what happened to all those vises.
Just use Trufuel in everything-that will solve your problems with bad gas. It may be expensive, but at least whatever yard tool i want to use starts right up with no drama.
I just ordered the recip saw, and I'll pick up the battery at a local store. I'd been wanting a cordless saw, and the big free battery sealed the deal for me.
