    Selecting a Framer Nailgun

Nail guns are easy… pick up a Hitachi that takes the nail type you want to use and never look back.

Backyard shelter house instead of auxiliary garage. Dumb idea?

I can see one all glass door installed with an opener hitting 5 figures.

    Outswing vs inswing

Buy a door with FrameSaver or equivalent composite bottom jambs and move on. Regardless of swing, regular jambs rot ridiculously quick. Other than that we have way overthought this on all accounts. Thieves and water both will always find a way in eventually.

    Hanging pliers on pegboard

DuraHooks are your friend. They never fall out… ever. https://www.tritonproducts.com/durahook Under tool holders, I use the 72100 for pliers and it works great.

    CLEANEST shop?

Yes please. I unfortunately have nothing that meets the OPs criteria but love seeing organized pictures. If you’re one of those people that have it together, don’t be ashamed to let us gawk over your ability.

    Garage window installation height

Have you seen all the hoarding threads we have? My problem is it varies which wall has the junk leaned up against it so I just planned for it to work with all of them. It’s worked well for me as I’ve rearranged the garage several times since moving in about ten years ago.

    Garage window installation height

My two car garage has a second floor with knee walls. From the outside the total wall height is about 13’6”. I had the window headers set at 9’ and the windows are 4’ tall. I think any lower would have looked too low from the outside. On the inside they are high enough to be out of the way for...

    Garage window installation height

How tall are the windows? If you store any 4x8 sheet goods put your outlets at least 50” from the floor so they don’t get covered up.

    Needing help with driveway material

I would go with either concrete or asphalt. Gravel/crushed products will stick to your tires and get tracked into your new building. That’s the voice of experience talking.

Putting drywall on the “attic side” of insulated walls?

Take your pick from Sheetrock, OSB/plywood or thermaply. Tape or seal the joints somehow. Most places it’s a code requirement to keep air from washing through the insulation.

Big @ss direct drive fan question

We have 10 donkey fans at work. 3 are about 10 years old and the other 7 are about 2 years old. They run thousands of hours a year. We’ve had zero issues with them. Well, not counting hitting them with forklifts and rolling ladders. When we’ve had to replace some blades they’ve been easy to work...

    Sealing hydrant in retaining wall

I’m confused (it doesn’t take much). Are you drilling a hole all the way through the wall? Where is the supply line coming from? It looks like you’re finishing the inside but not sure why you would want a hose bib in a finished room. I don’t really see the need for a frost proof hose bib if...
