    Chas Parker 974 1/2

I recently acquired a 974 1/2 A. From my limited research, the A series seems to have a teardrop shape to the back side of the static base, providing a third mounting point if you wanted to mount sans swivel base. At least, that is my theory at this point. The center hole in my static, where the...

    Vise identification

Hi John - it’s a woodworking vise, appears to be missing the dog. Other than that, hard to say.

No daisy wheel either, on the watch for one of those! I’ll give the door knob solution a shot!

    Famco Arbor Press

I just acquired a Famco 3 1/2 lever type arbor press. It is missing the brake spacer and brake handle, not having any luck getting feedback from Famco for replacement parts. Anyone know where I might find one???

    Hydraulic Vise

I recently acquired this Bryant Engineering hydraulic vise. The stand and pedal set up look exactly like the Studebaker hydraulic vise. I cannot find any info on Bryant Engineering. Has anyone seen this brand before or know anything about it? Needs new seals and some general clean up, but I was...

    Reed 214A Vise

Hi Steve, Great looking vise! Take a look at the left side of the dynamic jaw. Most Reeds have a three digit date code stamped in them that represent the month and year of manufacture. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Thanks DadsTools, I’ll cross post. I paid $30 for this beast...does that earn me the award?!?

    Vanderman No. 1

So, I scored this fantastic Vanderman vise yesterday. I don’t know a ton about it, but I know I have something really cool. It has 5” jaws and weighs about 100 lbs. Does anyone have any info regarding how old this vise may be? I do intend to strip the silver paint, but have seen no markings...

    Parker 204

I’m really pleased with the green! I don’t know if that swivel bolt is original or not, nor am I sure if the bolt on the opposite side is original or added by a previous owner. I have a lead on a decent 935 that has the wrench, hoping to get it within a week or so! If I can get my hands on that...

    Parker 204

I was guessing 20’s. I would imagine as molds wear and need to be replaced, patent dates are removed. As I think about it though, I wonder if these were all made from sand casting molds??? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
