In the 80's when I was a mechanic at Sears, I used the 1/2" one everyday for the upper bolts on GM rear shocks. Put the socket end on the end of the bolt and then used a impact with a 2' extension and a 1/2" socket on the nut. Zipped them right off. Never used any other size than that 1/2" one...
