Andrew, your 436A has a very different design at the jaws than mine or Barnes. Do you know the reason for the difference?

Thanks for the info. The stamped number on top of the slide looks like a 7 68, so maybe its a 1968 model. It's a huge vise, makes that beer bottle look small.
