I'm building dust collection shrouds for my grinders. I think I have it figured out how to mount them using Craftsman motor mounts. I have a couple on pedestal stands and the others are on bench top drill presses where the head was trashed (or got transferred to a floor stand, in one case)...

The "factory" switch is reliant on having a "factory" motor. The push rod is specifically designed for the wiring box size and location of the Delta motor. That's not to say a reasonable facsimile couldn't be made. After all, it's just mild bent rod. I had to grind down the stem of a new toggle...

I'll be watching with interest. I have very fond memories of cars and pick-ups going up on the in-ground lifts at my neighborhood Standard Oil station. That monstrous hydraulic cylinder rising up out of the floor always fascinated me.
