8-10 years ago, Tractor Supply had a Crescent branded 3/4 SAE 7/8 to 2” on clearance for $40-$50 bucks. I picked it up thinking that I’d someday have a reason for it. Sits it the bottom drawer of one of my boxes, never used, to this day. I’d buy it again if I had it to do over.

You can get a Ridgid, forged in Germany, 5 1/2” for about $350. Or step up to the 6” for about $120 more. Forged and welded steel vs. cast. I’ve had mine several years and I’ve not been especially kind to it. Still works as great as the day I mounted it brand new.

I’ve got 3 or 4 sets lying around. Occasionally I’ll run into a fastener and ***** & curse while I try to use a socket or combo wrench before I remember I have them. Very useful in certain applications.

I’m not brand biased either way as I feel both should be excellent boxes. Personally I’d rather spend the extra $150 and get the MAC with a top box and side locker. That’s assuming they are both in relatively the same condition.

Lowe’s sells a Bosch 12v impact/drill kit for around 100 bucks. We use them at work, among other brands, and for the price they’re quite nice. More powerful than you’d think.

My local store ( Mobile, Alabama) had an endcap of Craftsman. Those screw drivers sets were all U.S. made at my location. Probably, 30-40 sets of them on display. They were marked at 39.99 a few weeks back.

This is actually a hidden gem in the Craftsman lineup. I’ve had it several years now with absolutely no complaints. I could do without the grip but that’s just a personal preference as I don’t care for it on any ratchet.

I bought an entire Crescent branded set with extensions, a breaker bar and sockets (7/8- 2”) at Tractor Supply for around 60-70 bucks a few years back. Have used it a total of one time but nice to know I have it if needed.
