This thing gets really hot and it gets really hot really fast when it's set to max brightness. I don't really have any practical use for that type of brightness except impressing people :lol:... and yes it probably could set something on fire.
absolutely. i usually turn the armytek down very low if im working in close quarters. the reflection can make things difficult when its on really bright.
i used to carry the pocket LED too that's the reason i found the armytek useful. I liked the EZ-Red pocket cob 150 a lot, I purchased 2 of them and both of them recently broke and they both broke in the same location (battery cap) so i wanted something more durable and this fit the bill for me...
when left on max brightness it gets HOT REALLY FAST and Really HOT. But most of the time i use it at about 500 lumens and it gets warm but nothing crazy at that setting. i almost never use it at full brightness unless i'm just trying to show it off. it's too bright for the type of work i use it...
So I always thought that head lamps (the ones miners wear) would not work so well for what I do. But my opinion on them has changed. Do any of you guys use headlamps :dunno:?
