You could always buy used I got this 50 ton press for 200 works great i ended up making a return spring for it and ditched the hydraulic pump for a 100$ air/hydraulic foot activated pump. you couldn't even buy the steel for 200$ to build this
I am into table for about 700 Canadian for everything I already owned tool box so its not in that total. this was my first real project I have just in the last year acquired the tools and shop to start messing around. next I need to make a press brake to fit in my shop press to bend some thicker...
thanks, I decided to do first project on it and built a quick welding cart for my tig, my only regret was not doing build with my new miller 252, welds so much nicer than the Hobart 185
thanks for the comments, it was a fun build. The slots are for table extension for handling longer stuff. comes out 4+ feet adjust up or down. turned all the knobs out of some aluminum I had lying around.
