How to remove a broken bolt?

http://store.snapon.com/Multi-Spline-Extractors-Extractor-Multi-Spline-1-8--P635483.aspx Going to be your best bet. These, I find, work the best. If that's too small, REX105A calls for a 5/32nd drill. The one I linked is 1/8" drill (typically used on #10 and 1/4 screws/bolts)

Old...something, on a section of a military base

Thanks! Makes sense. I had never seen one before. I appreciate the help. monomach: I wish I could offer more context, but I can't. Nobody knows what the building was used for. Cheers!

Mag Lite Pro+ (my new go to light)

<strike>School me on Mag-Lite here, On the lens portion of mine it says "Mini maglite LED." I assume what you're showing is different?</strike> If so, is it worth the upgrade? I love mine quite a bit, but it has its flaws. The LED unit keeps coming loose, resulting in sporadic on/off/flashing...

Old...something, on a section of a military base

I figured for a boiler the input/output diameters would be larger. 2" seems a little small to heat anything aside from a large office. Also, what would be at the end covering the supposed "heat exchanger"?

Old...something, on a section of a military base

Garage journal, I've been away for a while, but I stumbled across this...thing? I saw while hiking at Stewart State Park in Newburgh, NY. It's in an area just south of the current airport, formerly used as a buffer zone for supersonic aircraft. I'm having trouble figuring out what this is/was...

    Long reach cutter

The knipex aren't really the same. The Snap-ons are worth it.

    Craftsman sockets; or better

I would say upgrade to Snap-on if it's a set you use quite often. If you plan on doing this for the rest of your life, you won't regret it.

stepless, toothless ratchet. where can i get them

There typically isn't an on/off switch. You would pop out the drive end and turn in around.

    Tool Control Methods

I work for a corporate aircraft mfgr, and at our service center we are responsible for our own tool control. They supply us with foam, and we have a form we fill out that gets turned in to the chief inspector, operations manager, and the security manager. At the main plant, they use the snap-on...

    Educate me in drill bits

There are also drill bits for composite materials such as these: https://www.onsrud.com/product/Item/m/itemDetail.html?itemId=86-102 It all depends on what material you are drilling into. HSS won't work too well for stainless or titanium, etc. etc.

    flexible sockets, single sockets

I personally own an S-K set in my toolbox at work. There have been situations where I NEEDED a snap-on swivel. They work much better at steeper angles. In fact, the new minimum tool list for my company calls out, specifically, for snap on swivels.

stepless, toothless ratchet. where can i get them

http://www.browntool.com/Default.aspx?tabid=255&CategoryID=202&List=1&SortField=ProductName%2cProductNumber&Level=a&ProductID=1299 Only difference between a hilok gearless and a normal gearless is that there's a hole in the center of the drive end for an allen key. If you buy these in a set...

    flexible sockets, single sockets

Snap-on, by far, makes the best in this category.

    Extra long 1/4 drive extension?

Snap-on, matco, koken, etc. many places have them.

    Box end Wrenches

Yes I think they are worth adding. You'll use them. Get a pretty deep offset though.
