Connect a come a long hook into the middle of a rope.

We do it as a team building thing amongst the apprentices. Puts pressure on them to learn the knots together and we have created a pretty irreverent "relay" race with the knots, obstacles, one hand and blindfolded knot tieing. That and we make them give us a talent show...

Connect a come a long hook into the middle of a rope.

We make our early apprentices participate in a "knot tying" competition and we've never spell checked them. We generally just have journeymen time them and judge their completed knots 🤔

Connect a come a long hook into the middle of a rope.

I've got quite a few years of rigging, crane and line work under my belt for what that's worth. I came to say what everyone else said. My go to is an Alpine, a lineman's go to is the bowline on a bite.

us general tool box and tool cart locks

My company has many harbor freight boxes installed in dozens of box trucks. We regularly call harbor freight parts for new locks and drawer latches. Your best bet is to remove the lock from each and confirm they style is all the same for them (they probably are) and pick a part number from a...

Anyone actually set fire to something with sparks from the grinder?

Not a grinder... But a gas chop saw. Started a brush fire. Not news worthy. But about 5 acres or so.

    The Garage Journal V3

I don't want to just be another piss and moaner that you will just tell to "leave if you don't like it"... So I'll make an attempt at being objective. First and foremost. Threads were lost in my ex-favorite forum. A tremendous amount of legacy information vanished in the change. Second. The...

    The Garage Journal V3

I came to say, "as long you're not doing to garage journal what Vertical Scope did to LS1GTO.COM you'll be fine." Then I went over to ls1gto and noticed it was zenforo :( It destroyed that forum.
