30X40 Northwest Ohio all in one pole barn

I work in Maumee, small world. DIY Pole Barns were great to work with. At the time I ordered mine I had to ask for dual pitch for my lean to, as well as ask specifically for scissor trusses, but it looks like that’s options on their site now. That really was the only thing I can think of, and...

I've been busy in the barn, but not so much on this forum. I managed to remove the paneling, install insulation, and then I hung 1/2" BCX plywood for the walls instead of the T1-11. I only used 8' sheets, then a 2X8, then on top is the original T1-11 I had originally hung. That's shown in 1...

A VFD drive was the first try, I have it in hand actually. The motors only wired for 480 though since it's a 2 speed. Thinking about using the drive with a transformer.

Last update is just some misc. stuff. Any Jimmy Diresta fans on here? I haven't used his ice pick a lot, but I guess it may be move of a novelty for me. New tools- Evolution Saw, I'm going to see how it cuts some tube steel for making a stand. 13X36 Clausing Colchester lathe...now I just need...

I'm also very close to getting the CNC Running. I'm waiting on a few more parts and then I'll feel comfortable making something. I've been testing it with a Sharpie just to get a feel for it's movements, kind of a shake down run. I moved the machine from a base made out of 2X4's also. It wasn't...

Couple of updates for the barn. Not too much work on the barn itself, but a lot of projects going on inside of the barn. I ran ethernet to the barn recently, which has been great! I eventually want to build an office in the corner with the windows, but in the meantime I thought I'd make a mobile...

That could be an easier solution, thank you for the suggestion. With all the summer schedules and projects coming up I haven't bothered researching many options, but this ones worth looking in to before the cold weather comes again.

Thanks! Trying to keep an overall look in mind while trying to maintain progress on a budget...it's a bit of a balancing act.

Good idea of the barn wood...I actually have a lot of pallet wood that I may try and see what it looks like. The Jet jointer/planer says 10" but I've only sent my pallet wood through it so far. I want to start some kind of furniture project with some dimensional lumber so hopefully I'll be able...

Shop projects- I have some shop cabinets (currently still in the garage) that I made all the same size with different shelf heights. They all hang on a french cleat system because I'm a huge Frank Howarth fan, and because I like the modular idea of it. I made another cabinet and added some...

On the interior- My plan is to break the barn up into different areas, woodworking having the majority, metal working, an office area, and long term would be an area right inside of the door for a project car. So I bought some T1-11 type siding and mounted it to the perimeter of the woodworking...

I have a bit of an attention problem, which has lead to the lack of updates....that and trying to take advantage of the nice weather we've been having sporadically. I've been working on projects inside and out with the occasional shop project thrown in. On the outside- my grade was a bit off...

Got some lights hung, still debating on whether or not to add more. I wired for 3 rows of 5 lights (4bulb T8 5k fixtures), but I only had 9 fixtures to start. I got everything moved from the garage over the weekend and managed to start up a couple of old projects. I really need to get a heater...
