I have that set. Got it for Xmas in 1989 or 1990. My hinge and locks broke as well. I purchased metal hinges and locks from Amazon and pop riveted them in.

Try alphaobd for the Jeep. It can communicate with the modules. Used it on a wheel speed sensor.

The drill and the right angle impact seem to be the right size and fit well in the hand. Build quality is there too IMO. I like using the long work light as well.

Mine came with the nut and screw apart. I did not think to look for a spring. The nut was in the gun. Amazon cancelled my second order.
