    Well, I decided to see if I could actually polish the chrome after removing the oxides/scale. I used 000 synthetic steel wool with a citrus degreaser as a lubricant, then Auosol metal polish and a microfiber towel to finish the job. Here is the same box end 18mm wrench.

    Correct, I wrapped various abrasive pads around the handle to remove the scale on the inside of the smaller box ends. I also use it for detailing the interior of my vehicles (air vent slats, around radio buttons, etc.).

    I just ordered several new sets of wrenches from snap on, and I'm not impressed with the chrome. These are new, part of a master set in foam, never been used. Thoughts?
