Hissing could be refrigerant moving through the lines. Put an instant read thermometer in one of your vents and note the temp. Spray down your condenser extremely well, especially if it's HE. check your temp readings again. Make sure your filter is good.

Looks like a Temptrol shut off valves. One on either side of the main body.

You can replace the corner also without removing all of the siding. There has to be a few videos showing you how on YT.

A domestic water pump station can cause this issue as well if it's not on a VFD drive. It will sit there, churn water, and the water will get hot. The hot water will go wherever water is being demanded.

How much? Are the arms included?

Use 3/4" plywood with a 6x6" plexiglass window. This is a great option if you have a radon system. You can remove the plexiglass window to reach in if needed.
