also, are little brackets at the end necessary? The 12/2 wire i got at home depot is just solid wire. It doesn't have the little brackets at the end like the inteconnecting black wire that came with unit.

Ok i think the excess coils didn't turn out to be that much once lines hooked up to unit. Now i just wqnt to be sure whip wires coming into outdoor unit is correct. I followed instructions for wiring in the disconnect box, though haven't connected wires from pannel yet, but where do wires go...

Yea lines already flared. There no fittings that came in the package. Also, 10 ft is the length recommmended and that's about how long lines are.

Ok, back on project. Seems I will have a bit of excess line set left after connecting to exterior unit. Are coils ok to have and in vertical form or does line need to be straightened out then connected? I'll post a pic.

I really want to use a hole insert to put into hole and feed lines, wire and drain through but can't find anything. Maybe a 3.5 in pvc...

No, the outdoor is marked also n1, 2, 3 and ground symbol last from left to right. So you are saying that as long as same wire is on matching exterior and interior units, it should be fine?

Also....I thought this would be simpler but; that 14-4 cable include wires green/yellow which i can pretty much deduce is ground, a blue, which almost looks aqua blue, a light gray and a black, which you can also say it's dark brown. Except for ground, i don't know where others go for interior...

I'm at point of connecting unit wires. I noticed that one set has three wires and the other set has four. See pics. Could it be that the one with three is the one to be used through whip. That is the wiring that will go from disconnect box to condenser unit?

Well it wasn't studs. Actually just more dry wall but harder had wire inbedded. Got the hole done. Ready to mount unit on bracket. Just have to bend ac lines a bit so they exit out the hole but don't want to kink them.

Thanks think i got what i need. So I'm at the point of drilling hole in the inside of wall where piping, drain tube and unit wires will be exiting. I tried drilling pilot hole first before going in with hole saw. The drill bit went through dry wall but soon as it fot through it hit stud, or...
