Good. I got my 2" conduit in, so I'm ready for anything.

I started this thread because we're pouring the garage footings tomorrow and I would like to get a conduit inside the garage wall for the sub panel. I suppose I could go ahead with the 2" at the garage and sleeve it down to 3/4" at the house?

You wouldn't think it would be so hard to get power out of a wall and into the ground. Oh well, at least we have pretty good working weather for mid February.....

There's about 2" of jacket in the box, can you not wrap it or heat shrink it?

Exactly. I didn't realize it would be so easy to get a setback modification that allows me to fit in a detached garage or I would have done things differently. My main panel is outside on the opposite side of end of the house and I have a backhoe but I really don't want to dig up the front...

It has knockouts.

That would be fine with me, it looks like a box extension would work with 1".

Why would it need to be in conduit inside the wall?

I'm not using UF, I'm planning on XHHW in conduit out to the new garage.

Why would it be hard to fish the wire up from an LB? Couldn't the wire have some slack which would be pulled back through the LB after mounting it?

It is #4 XHHW wire and it enters the 2 gang from above.

Pulled the cover and it seems it's only #4 AWG AL I seemed to recall that we were bringing #2 over to that box but I guess not. My sub panel is planned at 60 amps and the total length from the main panel to the sub panel in the detached garage will be about 70 feet so I'm thinking that's still...

That was one of my thoughts. Then fish it up into the 2 gang box.
